We are a community of believers with an active faith that God is present in His life-giving Word to transform and direct His people.
As Christians, the Word of God has a central role in our lives (John 1:1). While it teaches us the truths and principles by which we must live, it also imparts the Spirit and life of the Father to us (John 6:63).
Hebrews 4:12 speaks of this, telling us that the Word is a living and active force in the life of a believer. It directs and defines our daily relationship and walk before Him. At the same time, the word bears fruit within us as we meditate on it day and night (Psalm 1:2-3) until it is written on our hearts (Jer. 31:33) and flows out of our inner most being (John 7:37-38).
The fruitfulness that comes as a result of the Word is creative not only in the life of each believer but also in the life of the entire community. In this relationship with God and His Word, individuals, families and churches grow into vessels of His grace and presence to the world around them.
Our worship, teaching, service, and fellowship are grounded in each believer’s growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord.
The first recorded sermon of the Church declares that God has made Jesus both Lord and Christ (Acts 2:36). Jesus, as our Savior, has brought us into the household of faith (Ephesians 2:19), but it is by continually bringing every aspect of our lives into submission to His Lordship that we become exceedingly fruitful branches (John 15:4-5).
The purpose and meaning of the life of a believer finds its expression and fulfillment under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. As a community of believers, Living Word Community Church seeks to foster and encourage this deepening relationship with Jesus as Lord. This is the basis for all of our activities and fellowship, and it’s a source of great joy as we serve Him together.
Come grow with us.
The miracle of the Body of Christ is that God gathers diverse communities of people as it pleases Him, and enables them by His Spirit to be vessels of love and faith to one another (1 Corinthians 12:4-7). Through their ministering to one another, each one matures towards the fullness of Christ and together they become a living witness of His fullness and power (Ephesians 4:15, 3:10).
It is a wonderful revelation and an even more exciting life. We invite you to come grow with us.
